Formalingua is a family run language school founded in Besançon, Eastern France, in 1996 by a team of professional teachers which has managed with the passing years ,to gain a firm reputation of competence and efficiency in its field.

Today it teaches ten different languages , including French for foreigners , and also computing, to a wide range of learners from 4 to 80 , for professional or personal interests.

If you still can't speak French fluently after studying it for several years in school maybe it's because you never had the opportunity to practice speaking all day long in a friendly environment.

Our "Live and learn at your teacher's" program is a total immersion in the language. During your stay you are immersed both in the language and in the everyday French life, sharing meals and all aspects of social and cultural life with your teacher : you become a member of the family.

The teachers are highly experienced and qualified native speakers. Your private lessons are tailor-made for your specific needs following linguistic evaluation upon arrival. They take place in a separate classroom between 10 and twelve in the morning , five days a week (extra hours available on request ) .

The house is situated in a quiet residential area within easy walking distance of the historic centre of the town. It is nicely decorated and furnished and fully equipped with all modern conveniences. It is surrounded by a large private garden You'll enjoy a large and quiet bedroom and a private bathroom.

This program is available all year-round and is suitable for everyone seventeen or older , beginner or advanced, whether for personal or professional interests

Week ends are spent exploring new places and many activities are available on request (skiing, hiking, horse riding, golf, tennis, wine tasting ,cooking lessons etc)
